Edinburgh is a historic city full of centuries-old architecture, cozy pubs and first-class drink. I’ve been to sleep a few times and always have a great time. It is one of my favorite destinations in Europe. I’ve been going since I was 30 (which was a very, very long time ago).
Although Edinburgh is beautiful, accommodation can be quite expensive. As the second most visited city in the UK, it can easily break the bank (those pints add up!). Although there are many hostels that can help you keep your costs down, I inherited the hard way that not all are good.
To help him choose a hostel from all the great options, here is my list of the best hostels in Edinburgh!

1. Rocks of the castle
Located near the castle, this guesthouse is simply beautiful. and my favorite-hostel in the city. It is an old and beautiful house with beautiful wooden rooms, stone stairs and a very historical royal atmosphere, as if you were living in an old mansion. There is a great kitchen and the common areas offer over billiards, TV, times and free Wi-Fi. There is also a terrace for sunny days, as well as a fireplace and a cinema room for the cold ones. The staff also organize events to keep things social. It is also very well located (right on the Royal Mile).
The mattresses are not particularly thick and there are no advantages on the beds, but there are also plenty of sockets to rate your appliances and lockers overnight. It is also one of the budget hostels of the city and perfect for budget travel. Please note that a security deposit of GBP 10 in cash (or ID) must be paid for your room lock.

2. Old Town of Edinburgh by St. Christopher
The hostels in St. Christopher are a must-see in all of Europe, and this is not the place. The hostel is only a few minutes away from all important perceptions and it is always life that redeems the meeting. There’s a cool bar on-site with inexpensive happy hour drinks (a big plus in expensive Edinburgh), and the staff also organises regular pub crawls if you can enjoy the nightlife. They also offer free walking tours, which are a great way to spot on a budget and meet other travelers right away.
The dorms are airy and hellish, and although the mattresses aren’t particularly thick, the beds have forward, USB sockets, and small lockers. (Just remember that the master dorms have brazen bunk beds .) Although there is no kitchen, there is a full breakfast every morning for only 5. Although there are not many toilets (so sometimes you have to wait), the location is actually unsmackable.
